Following the resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 639-r issued on 16.03.2021, international undergraduate students, postgraduates, clinical residents, and learners of Pre-University Tutorials Departments are allowed to return to Russia to resume their studies in person.


Faculty of Economics of Ogarev Mordovia State University launched trials of a further education course titled «Design of educational programs: integration of experience of European and Russian universities» developed within the framework of international project «Excellence in Engineering Education through Teacher Training and New Pedagogic Approaches in Russia and Tajikistan (EXTEND), action «Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education Erasmus+».


The team of Mordovia State University takes part in the International Competition in the field of political communications PolitPRpro 2021. The competition is organized by the Student Section of the Northwestern Branch of Russian Association for Public Relations (RAPR) and the Higher School of Journalism and Mass Communications under St. Petersburg State University.

Codemasters International, an international company that develops software and a platform for creating and promoting websites, has recently announced the names of the best learners of the School of Developers. This is one of the company's ongoing educational projects, which paves the way for novice IT specialists who are eager to enter commercial development. Among the winners are four students of Mordovia State University, who study programming languages and automated testing at the above School.


On March 15, as a side line to official visit to the Republic of Mordovia, the delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan attended Ogarev Mordovia State University. The delegation consisted of: Consul General Fariddin B. Nasriev, First Secretary Azizbek Kh. Razakov and Head of the administrative department Nurbek Z. Barnaev.


While risks of the spread of a novel coronavirus infection retain and following the circular MR 3.1/2.1.0205-20 «Recommendations for the prevention of a novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in educational institutions of higher education» (amendments No. 2 dated of 11.02.2021) international students arriving from countries with which air flights have already been resumed, must take a PCR COVID-19 test twice: first time - no earlier than three calendar days before arrival in Russian Federation and second - within 72 hours after entry into the Russian Federation.


The multidisciplinary online workshop "Horizons" held by the University in partnership with the education and training center "Gaudeamus" (Republic of Kazakhstan) from February 5 to 12, 2021 empowered high school senior students of the Republic of Kazakhstan to become the University students.


The Republic of Belarus is a friendly state with which Russia has many areas for cooperation. One of them is science. For many years, it has been successfully carried out by scholars of the Chair of World History, Political Science and Regional Studies of Mordovia State University. We have accumulated some good experience, says Doctor (Higher doctorate) of Political Sciences Olga V. Bakhlova.

Dzhuraev Validzhon, a student of the Medicine Institute under Ogarev Mordovia State University, became the winner in the nomination "Medical student of the Year" of the Tajik National Award "Student of the Year 2020" (February 5-8, Moscow). 

On 26 January, the Consul General of Turkmenistan Atadurdy Khaldurdyevich Bayramov arrived on a familiarisation visit to the University. The University has long since went into partnership with the Embassy of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen community – the second largest among the total number of international students pursuing studies at Mordovia State University amounts to 470 people.


In February, Ogarev Mordovia State University will host XXI International Scientific Conference «New Information Technologies in Education». 

The unique project "African space" authored by Jean Dekou, a student of the Institute of Electronics and Light Engineering at Mordovia State University, has resonated with the inner circles of international student audience.


The Faculty of Philology and the International Relations Office of Ogarev Mordovia State University staged an online winter school for seniour high school students of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The partner university was Andijan State University, which served as a gathering point for students from secondary schools No. 2 and No. 30 of Andijan city.


The meeting is convened and held online on December 22, 2020, to negotiate the working plan for 2021 of the International University Consortium for Agricultural Engineering (IUCAE).


The results of the competitive selection of world-class science and education centers were released. Among the winners is SEC "Engineering of the future", one of the active member of which is Ogarev Mordovia State University.
