EU expert to hold a seminar on ERASMUS PLUS PROGRAMME

On 25 of January Mordovia State university will host a seminar entitled «From policies to projects. Funding opportunities for Russian Higher Education Institutions in the framework of the Erasmus plus programme».

The keynote speaker is Mario De Martino, Erasmus Mundus and Jean Monnet project coordinator.

The seminar aims to give an overview of the funding opportunities for Russian Higher Education institutions in the framework of the Erasmus plus programme with a special focus on the Jean Monnet programme and providing some theoretical notions which could help the potential applicants in preparing their project proposal.

The seminar will be structured into three parts: the first session will have a more theoretical approach and it will deal with the relation existing between policies and projects. The core point is that a project is a tool to achieve policy goals, so the project coordinator, in elaborating the project proposal, should be able to transfer and adapt his project proposal to the policy goals. In such part of the seminar, the policy goals of the EU in the new Multi-annual financial framework (2014-2010) and of Erasmus plus will be analyzed and discussed.

The second part of the seminar will be focused on the Erasmus plus programme and the funding opportunities that it offers to Russian Higher Education institutions. This part aims to support the potential applicant in identifying the actions of the Erasmus plus programme closer to their ideas of possible project proposals.

The third part aims to give an overview of the Jean Monnet programme and the changes introduced after the launching of the Erasmus plus programme.
