XVII International student festival of advertising: among awardees students of National and Folk Culture Institute

The ХVII International student festival of advertising hosted by Moscow University for the Humanities, was held on 15 – 17 April. Since 2008, students of Ogarev Mordovia State University, majoring in «Advertising» and «Advertising and public relations» degree programmes have begun to attend this event.

Traditionally held in April, the festival has served as a platform for communication and dialogue with specialists representing various fields of advertising and PR-communications. The attendees are welcome to pose direct questions and get expert advice from prominent figures of the advertising business. The festival is attended by students from various regions of Russia and countries near and far abroad.

This year’s festival as always, has offered a wide range of activities: master classes by representatives of leading advertising agencies, a visit to the exhibition «Design and advertising», a lecture tour of the a worldwide advertising agency network BBDO, Russia. During the festival, students learn from leading experts about the current trends in the advertising industry, and also have the opportunity to assay their strength by taking part in the contest.

A trip to some of the largest professional forum proved to be a success for students of Mordovia State University. 7 out of 18 submitted creations were shortlisted, all students received diplomas and certificates of completion of a workshop. The work of the 3rd-year students specialising in Advertising and public relations - Ekaterina Makeeva and Natalia Redkina won 2nd and 3rd place prizes in the nomination «Print media advertising».
