Institute of Medicine celebrates Knowledge Day

Institute of Medicine under Mordovia State University hosted a ceremonial event dedicated to Knowledge day for international students. Rector Sergey M. Vdovin, Director of the Institute Larisa A. Balykova and the Head of International Office Natalia Sh. Vatolkina congratulated the students on their introduction to student life.

«A bright student life awaits you and that life is going to be full of different events as well as of studies – said S. M. Vdovin in his greeting speech. – There is a lot to be done to learn the history, culture and traditions of Russian and Mordovian peoples. And I’m sure that you will go through this stage of your life with great success and will be proud of having studied in Russia!

This year Institute of Medicine provides instruction to 280 international students from various countries of the world.

The Director of the Medical Institute L. A. Balykova wished the students to study well and introduced professors and mentors that will work with groups where English is used as a language of tuition: «It is a great honour for us to greet you at the Institute. Our professors are willing to share their extensive knowledge and experience with you!

The Head of the International Office N. Sh. Vatolkina told first-year students about one of the graduates of the Medical Institute who showed the best results in qualifying exams for graduates of foreign universities in Namibia. There are many examples of such kind.

The celebration finished with the presentation of a symbolic student’s ID card – it was given to first-year students by S. M. Vdovin. Seniour students from different countries prepared performance for first-year students and at the end of event the Institute’s anthem began to sound.
