Biologists from Ogarev Mordovia State University take part in the European Biotechnology Congress

From 26th to 28th of April, 2018, Athens (Greece) was the venue for the European Biotechnology Congress. The event was held under the aegis of the European Biotechnology Association (European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association (EBTNA) and Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Greece. 

The group of University scholars consisted of staff of the Biotechnology Centre under the Faculty of Biotechnology and Biology, Mordovia State University: Doctor of biological sciences, professor, Dean of the Faculty V.V. Revin, associate professors of the Chair of biotechnology, bioengineering and biochemistry N.A. Atykyan, N.V. Gromova and E.S. Revina.

Scientists of Mordovia State University gave talks on University research in the field of bioenergy, biomedicine, regenerative medicine. Proceedings and full-text articles will be published in the upcoming issue of "Journal of Biotechnology" (IF 2, 599). The talks aroused a great interest among foreign colleagues. A number of scientists expressed their preparedness to foster scientific dialogue within joint research projects and to attend the University to get acquainted with the research facilities and profile of research in details. 

It should be noted that the scientists of National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University have been members of European Biotechnology Association (EBTNA) since 2014, and the Dean of the Faculty of biotechnology and biology, V.V. Revin is a member of the Executive Committee of the Association, acting as a coordinator for Russia. During the Congress he was awarded a certificate of honorary member of the Organising Committee EBTNA.
