Updated list of Russian scientific journals in SCOPUS

Elsevier, one of the world's largest scientific publishing houses, has updated the list of Russian journals that are indexed in Scopus citation database (one of the international databases). At the moment, it includes 520 domestic editions, for 418 journals bibliographic records have been defined, and 12 belong to first quartile (Q1), that is, they are editions publishing scholars’ articles with cutting-edge research. A full list of publications is available on the official website.

The updated list of indexed Russian journals includes 520 titles. Out of these, the following editions are Q1: “Ab Imperio”, “CIS Iron and Steel Review”, “Laser Physics Letters”, “Manuscripta Orientalia”, “Regular and Chaotic Dynamics”, “Reviews on Advanced Materials Science”, “High Molecular Weight Compounds”, “Rusin”, “Achievements of Mathematical Sciences”, “Achievements of Physical Sciences ”, “Achievements of Chemistry and Physical Mesomechanics”

Some Russian journals included into the database were subsequently withdrawn from the list, but data on them is still maintained by Scopus. These include: Bioorganic Chemistry (effective between 1983-2015), Moscow University Bulletin. Series 15. Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics (1978-1987, 1989, 2007-2017), Bulletin of Surgery named after I.I. Grekov (1946, 1949-2015), Journal of Evolutionary Biochemistry and Physiology (1972-1973, 1975-1979, 1991, 1995-2017), Proceedings of the Academy of Sciences. Chemical series (1990, 1993-1994, 1996-2015), Medical equipment (1972-2015), Neurochemistry (2007-2017), Ontogenesis (2005-2017), Parasitology (1972-2017), Russian physiological journal named after I.M. Sechenov (1992-2015) and Chemistry and technology of water (2006-2017).
