The delegation from Kyrgyzstan attends Mordovia State University

From 23 to 26 of April, Mordovia State University received a delegation of teaching and auxiliary staff from I. Razzakov Kyrgyz Technical University. The visit took place in the framework of joint project of universities in the Russian-Kyrgyz consortium of technical universities, which currently consists of 8 Kyrgyz and 27 Russian universities.

It is the third visit of representatives of the friendly state to Mordovia State University. This year the delegation was composed of the Director of the Institute for joint educational programmes, associate professor T. S. Borukaev and Director of the IT Department, associate professor A.M. Arzybaev.

Mordovia State University and Razzakov Kyrgyz Technical University have been implementing a joint educational programme in electronics and nanoelectronics for several years. However, the plans are to expand the number of bachelor and master degrees programmes. In particular, the guests showed interest in infocommunication technologies, information security, metrology and certification, engineering technology programmes taught at technical profile institutes of Ogarev Mordovia State University.

To discuss this issue, the guests met with the Rector Sergey M. Vdovin, officers in charge of international cooperation, curriculum development, and administrative staff of the profile institutes. Guests were taken to revise and assess the level of academic facilities - research laboratories, classrooms, equipment and in their turn delivered lectures themselves.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the options of post-graduate studies, further training and distant learning courses for teaching staff of Razzakov Kyzgyz State University at our University.

To assess the electronic resources of Mordovia State University members of the delegation attended the Center for development of distant learning and Center for new information technologies. The latter aroused a genuine interest as it is the core IT facility dealing with creation and maintenance of electronic educational environment within Mordovia State University.
