XIVth international conference «Differential equations and their applications in mathematical modeling»: July 9-12, 2019

On 9-12 of July, the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology of Ogarev Mordovia State University hosted the XIVth international conference entitled «Differential equations and their applications in mathematical modeling».

Conferences and away meetings of scientific schools for mathematicians have been held on a regular basis since 1994. This tradition was laid by a local outstanding scholar, the founder of the Middle Volga Mathematical Society, Professor Evgeny V. Voskresensky.

In 2019, the XIVth International conference accommodates representatives of scientific schools from such Russia’s cities (Moscow, Kazan, Penza, Nizhny Novgorod, Ulyanovsk, Sarov, Samara, Syzran, Irkutsk, Ufa, Sterlitamak, Saransk, etc.), as well as scientists from Azerbaijan (Baku), Germany (Essen), Switzerland (Basel) and Romania (Bucharest).

The organizers/sponsors of the event are traditionally the same: Middle Volga Mathematical Society, National research Mordovia State University, Research Institute of Mathematics under Mordovia State University, M.V. Keldysh Institute of Applied mathematics of RAS and Russian Foundation for Basic Research.

On behalf of the Rectorate the conference audience was welcomed by the Vice-rector for science and research - P. V. Senin. He stressed the importance of mathematical science in the modern world and wished scientists new achievements. The opening ceremony addresses were continued by I. I. Chuchaev, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology and L. A. Sukharev, President of the Middle Volga Mathematical Society, associate professor, Chair of algebra and geometry. Then plenary session started.

For three days the conference will offer the following problematic areas: "Numerical methods for solving differential equations and computational physics", "Qualitative and asymptotic methods of differential and integro-differential equations", "Differential equations and their applications in physical, chemical, biological, economic and other processes", "Partial derivatives equations and their applications in mathematical modeling".
