Projects funding approved: Ogarev Mordovia State University proposals for Erasmus+ 2020 show through in number

Following the results of the calls for proposals announced within the European Union Erasmus+ programme 2020, 3 projects under the Jean Monnet Activities programme and 1 project under the Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education programme were approved for funding by the European reviewers. By the number of projects supported under the Jean Monnet Activities Scheme, Mordovia State University is among the leaders.

In the subcategory «Teaching and research activities: Chairs» of the Jean Monnet Activities programme, the project titled «Contemporary Issues of Multiculturalism and Legal Pluralism in the European Union - 620787-EPP-1-2020-1-RU-EPPJMO-CHAIR has received approval; project coordinator - Yulia N. Sushkova, Postdoc in historical sciences, head of the Chair of International and European Law of the Law Faculty.

The following projects have been approved in the subcategory «Teaching and research activities: Modules» of the Jean Monnet Activities programme:

«EU: Development without excessive inequality as a movement to equality in opportunities» - 620244-EPP-1-2020-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE; project coordinator – Lyudmila Kormishkina, Postdoc in econom.sciences, head of the Chair of theoretical economics and economic security of the Faculty of Economics;

«Human rights for everyone and each: the European Union, Russia, a person in a partnership dialogue to ensure a dignified and safe existence of an individual» - 621010-EPP-1-2020-1-RU-EPPJMO-MODULE; project coordinator – Natalia I. Uzdimaeva, PhD in legal sciences, associate professor, Chair of theory and history of state and law.

In the subcategory «The Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education» the EU Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency supported a consortium project titled «Support for Innovative Methodology, Approaches and Tools for Teaching through the Medium of English in order to improve Educational Yield, Sustainability and Internationalization [SMARTI]» - 617489-EPP-1-2020-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP.  Coordinator of the consortium project is Technical University of Dresden (Germany). The project participants are 4 Russian universities, 5 Armenian universities, UK universities, universities from Latvia and Portugal. In Ogarev Mordovia State University, the project will be implemented by the Faculty of Foreign Languages (persons in charge: Natalia V. Burenina, Dean of the Faculty, PhD in philology). Olga Safonkina, PhD in philology, associate professor, Chair of English Philology) with the participation of the Institute of mechanical and power engineering.

Altogether 23 Russian projects were supported out of 245 projects that received grant funding under the Jean Monnet Activities programme, 12 projects out of 164 projects within Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education programme were approved.
