In the run-up to the admission campaign 2018, Mordovia State University took part in the XVIII international specialised Fair "Education and career EXPO 2018", which was held from 11 to 13 April in Yerevan. 


Russian credit rating agency Round University Ranking (RUR) has published an updated list of the best universities in the world. The list is based on leading universities from 74 countries.

Among international universities, as of now Mordovia State University ranks 672nd.

The University has reinforced its position in such criteria as "international activity" and "research". Among 70 Russian universities, included in the ranking, National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University ranks 27th.

On April 2, 2018, the Russian Science Foundation reviewed and assessed the applications for the extension of the project initiated in 2015. Out of 333 potential applications, heads of 240 projects have applied for extension. 220 applications have made it to the final round and only 88 projects succeeded, including two from Mordovia State University

On the 20th of March National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University launch a next scheduled training of FIFA World Cup 2018 volunteers. 


From 1 to 7 March, representatives of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction Engineering (Professor V.T. Erofeev, associate professor O.Rodina) and the Institute of Electronic and Light Engineering (associate professor N.F. Antoshkin and senior lecturer S.A. Yamashkin) passed a further training at the Research Institute of Construction Physics of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS).


On the 6th of March the students from Wuhan Textile University received their student IDs at the International Relations Office of National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University. Five exchange students chose the Foreign Languages Faculty in order to complete exchange education programme during a semester.


During February 24 - March 3, Ogarev Mordovia State University hosted a consortium meeting&workshop. The event is part of international Erasmus+ project entitled «Excellence in Engineering Education through Teacher Training and New Pedagogic Approaches in Russia and Tajikistan» (EXTEND). Project consortium consists of 11 higher education institutions from Latvia, Romania, Portugal, UK, Russia and Tajikistan.


On February 15, Mordovia State University was attended by Hartwig Mennen, first Chairman of Logo e.V. in order to interview and screen students of Agriculture Institute and Institute of Mechanics and Power Engineering for a work-experience internship in Germany farms.


From 13th to 16th February the international project called “Languages in socio-cultural Finno-Ugric environment” was hosted by Mordovia State University at the initiative of Research laboratory of Finno-Ugric culture under National and Folk Culture Institute together with the Faculty of Philology and Finnish participants of the project.

On 24 of January, the National Accreditation Board under National Centre for Public Accreditation, based an external review findings, approved educational programmes in 03.03.02 «Physics», 03.04.02 «Physics», 04.03.02 «Chemistry, physics and mechanics of materials», 04.05.01 «Fundamental and applied chemistry», 04.03.01 «Chemistry», 04.04.01 «Chemistry», 03.06.01 «Physics and astronomy», 04.06.01 «Chemical Sciences», taught at Mordovia State University.

National Research Ogarev Mordovia State University has finalised the screening of candidates for academic mobility programme Erasmus+ «Student Credit Mobility». 


M.M.Bakhtin Centre together with the Chair of Russian and Foreign Literature (Faculty of Philology) and the Humanities Faculty of the University of Haifa (Israel) took part in a webinar on the 19th of December.


On 12 of December, the project "Social Navigator" by media information agency (MIA) "Russia today" revealed the nation-wide ranking of sought-after Russian universities in terms of their relevance to the Russian economy.


Dean of the Economics faculty, professor Tatyana A. Salimova attended the International conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Presidential Programme of training management personnel for national economy administered by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
