Today, the Russian-Chinese Friendship Center became a vibrant hub of cultural exchange as we celebrated the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Kicking off the festivities, Rector of MRSU, Mr. Dmitry Glushko, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing China’s significant role on the global stage and the importance of Chinese students at our university. He extended heartfelt wishes for their success and progress, inspiring attendees to embrace this momentous occasion. Our talented Chinese students took center stage with a captivating presentation on China’s rich heritage, offering valuable insights into their traditions and cultural values. The celebration continued with delightful performances by Russian students, who charmed the audience with beautiful Chinese songs that resonated with warmth and camaraderie. An interactive question-and-answer session followed, allowing attendees to deepen their understanding of Chinese culture. The first Russian language classes have officially begun for students of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology at the Russian Studies Center (India- Chennai)! Our students have already mastered the alphabet, and their shining eyes are a testament to their enthusiasm and interest in this beautiful language. This new Center is set to enhance educational collaboration between India and Russia, offering Russian language courses, cultural workshops, lectures on literature, history, art, and more, along with guidance for students interested in studying in Russia.
