MRSU INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS VISITED THE INTERACTIVE TRAVELING EXHIBITION «VICTORY TRAIN»

Our International students from china, together with the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Mr. Denis Filetkin, visited the interactive traveling exhibition «Victory Train»

The Victory Train arrived at the Saransk railway station. An actual train with nine cars, the exhibition is designed for visitors to explore the history of railways during the Great Patriotic War. To get on board, visitors need special free tickets that can be downloaded from the official website of the project at поездпобеды.рф.

Students of foreign languages faculty from China shared their impressions after the exhibition:

-Yiting Yang «It was a very meaningful tour about the history of the war. The characters and scenes are vivid. Hope for world peace. »

-Xiaolong Zhang «I think it’s meaningful for us. We should remember history and be wary of militarism. Hope for the world peace.»

-Mei Peng «I feel myself very shocked. These sad pictures are shocking, as the story is happening right in front of my eyes. These statues are very expressive, and they cannot but make me sad. I was especially touched by the bravery of the people. Men, women and even children are united. They all have a brave heart. «

Victory Train is the world’s first train-based immersive installation. It tells the story of the pre-war years and the Great Patriotic War through visual art, as well as interactive and conventional exhibit formats. The train includes eight display cars, each dedicated to a different period of the 1940s.
