On May 9, to celebrate the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a grand meeting was held in front of the second academic building of MRSU.

Faculty and students of MRSU, as well as residents of Saransk attended the meeting. As part of the event, the Immortal Regiment was held, led by Mr. Dmitry Glushko rector of MRSU. Traditionally, participants carry portraits of their relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War.
