A delegation from Belarus, including high-ranking officials, gathered at Mordovia State University to unveil a new educational space dedicated to advanced agricultural technology. This branded classroom, located within the Institute of Mechanics and Power Engineering, has been named in honor of Professor A.I. Leshchankin and is a collaborative effort between the university and Belarusian industry leaders in agricultural machinery.
The delegation included Belarusian Minister of Taxes and Duties, Sergei Nalivayko; Oleg Dikun, advisor at the Belarusian Embassy in Nizhny Novgorod; and Mikhail Vardugin, Deputy Marketing Director for Commercial Operations at Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ). Together, they highlighted the significance of this initiative for technical education and cross-border industrial collaboration.
Set up in collaboration with LLC «Agrarian Resource» — the official dealer for MTZ and Gomselmash equipment in Mordovia — the classroom is stocked with a rotating display of modern Belarusian agricultural machinery. This includes nearly the full lineup of high-tech tractors and equipment used extensively in Russia and globally, providing students with hands-on access to the latest in agricultural engineering.
Designed to immerse students in the intricacies of tractor mechanics, structural adjustments, and operational optimization, the classroom is equipped with multimedia systems for technical film viewing, real equipment models, and a designated demonstration area. This allows both undergraduate and graduate students to work with authentic machinery, supporting a more practical and impactful learning experience.
According to Dmitry Glushko, Rector of Mordovia State University, the new classroom will be a significant asset for both education and research. «The branded classroom’s equipment enables high-level training and advances in tractor and machinery operational efficiency. This initiative also supports the development of skilled tractor operators and fosters participation in regional and national competitions in Agricultural Engineering,»
Glushko stated.
In addition to boosting practical skills among students, the facility will strengthen brand recognition for Belarusian agricultural equipment within the Russian market.
