The independent higher education assessment portal Best-Edu has unveiled the results of the 2026 Subject Aggregate Ranking of Russian Universities, reaffirming the strong academic standing of Ogarev Mordovia State University across a wide range of disciplines.
The ranking is based on a comprehensive methodology that integrates data fr om eight established national rankings selected for their transparency, sustainability, and broad institutional coverage. Universities are evaluated across 55 subject areas, providing a detailed picture of academic performance and educational quality.
For the second consecutive year, Mordovia State University is represented in 38 of the 55 subject fields, demonstrating the breadth and competitiveness of its educational and research programs. The university’s achievements span the Premier, First, Second, and Third League categories.
Particularly noteworthy is the university’s presence in the Premier League in the following disciplines:
Earth Sciences
Economics and Management
A significant achievement this year was recorded in Electrical and Thermal Power Engineering, wh ere the university advanced from the First League to the Premier League, reflecting the continued development and growing recognition of its academic programs in this field.
The university also improved its performance in Chemical Technologies and Education and Pedagogical Sciences, both of which moved up from the Second League to the First League.
In total, 11 subject areas of Mordovia State University were ranked in the Second League, while two disciplines secured positions in the Third League.
The latest results highlight the university’s steady progress, academic excellence, and expanding influence within Russia’s higher education landscape, further strengthening its reputation as one of the country’s leading multidisciplinary universities.
