A delegation from the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Chennai, India) visited N. P. Ogarev Mordovia State University (MSU) to conduct joint research in the laboratory of Molecular Non-Metal Electrocatalysts for Hydrogen Energy and to explore the research infrastructure of MSU’s Institute of High-Tech Technologies and New Materials.
The delegation was led by Dr. Navanitan, a research professor at the SRM Nanotechnology Research Center. He was accompanied by his colleagues and graduate students, including:
Dr. Senthil Kumar Eswaran, Head of the Department of Physics and Nanotechnology at SRM and Associate Professor at the Nanotechnology Research Center;
M. S. Nithyapriya, Research Fellow at SRM’s Nanotechnology Center and specialist in energy nanomaterials;
M. Saran, graduate student and research assistant, focusing on thermoelectric materials and nanocomposites.
The SRM Institute of Science and Technology is one of India’s largest private universities, hosting around 70,000 students and employing approximately 4,500 faculty members and researchers. The university operates an extensive network of research centers, including the Nanotechnology Research Center, and implements over 600 grant-funded projects supported by leading national funding agencies.
In September 2024, with participation from MSU, the university inaugurated a Center for Russian Language and Culture, further strengthening academic and cultural ties between the two institutions.
