A delegation from China Pharmaceutical University (Nanjing) visited Ogarev Mordovia State University in Saransk on September 22 to discuss prospects for academic and research collaboration.
Established in 1936, China Pharmaceutical University has grown into one of the country’s most prestigious institutions in pharmaceutical sciences. The university is known for its three main areas of focus — general pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine, and biopharmaceuticals — supported by 13 institutes and 14 schools. «We rank third globally in fundamental pharmaceutical research, and our priority is to strengthen international partnerships through student exchanges and joint research. As the largest pharmaceutical university in China, we believe cooperation with your university could raise our profile worldwide,» said Professor Fei Li, Vice Dean of the Graduate School.
During their visit, the delegation toured the Federal Center for Biotechnology and Medicine and several of the university’s laboratories.
Rector Dmitry Glushko emphasized the importance of practical outcomes from the partnership: «We aim to build joint educational programs, including online and continuing education courses, and to expand student mobility at all academic levels. Our recent experience of launching a joint program with Jiangsu University of Science and Technology shows that we are ready to move quickly. Just as our national leaders demonstrate effective cooperation on the global stage, we hope our institutions can also move forward in the same constructive spirit.»
