INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS INVITED TO JOIN WOW! RUSSIA SEASON 2

The second season of the WOW! RUSSIA competition for international students has officially launched. The competition invites international students studying in Russia to share their experiences, showcase their student life, and introduce audiences to Russian culture, education, and everyday life.

Participants have the opportunity to tell their stories through creative video content and compete for valuable prizes, including a trip through Rosmolodezh’s More Than a Journey programme, an internship in the media industry, and participation in an educational media workshop organised by ANO National Priorities.

Competition Categories

Participants can submit their entries in one of five categories:

• Education: Studying Without Filters
• Tourism and Travel: Russia Through the Lens
• Culture: Russia Between the Lines
• Life: Russia Has Taught Me
• Speaking Russian: Confidently and Beautifully

Participation Requirements

To participate, students must publish a post on a foreign social media platform using a public profile and tell a story about their life and studies in Russia in their native language.
Publications posted on or after January 1, 2026, are eligible for the competition. The post must appear on a social media account that the participant actively maintains and uses regularly.
Participants from CIS countries may also publish their entries on VKontakte, provided it is their primary platform for maintaining a personal profile and regularly communicating with their audience.

Video Formats

Entries may be submitted in either of the following formats:

• Short vertical video: up to 1 minute.
• Horizontal video: from 1 to 5 minutes.

Prizes for Winners

Competition winners will have the opportunity to:

• Travel as part of Rosmolodezh’s More Than a Journey programme.
• Undertake an internship in the media industry.
• Participate in an educational media workshop organised by ANO National Priorities.

Application Deadline

Applications must be submitted through the official competition website by October 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

Last year, international students from Ogarev Mordovia State University participated in the programme, and their video entries were selected among the best submissions. This year, MRSU encourages even more international students to take part, share their unique experiences, and showcase their lives and studies in Russia.
Students who need technical support, including access to a camera, filming assistance, or help developing creative ideas, are welcome to contact the university’s international student support team. We will be happy to help you prepare your entry and bring your ideas to life.
