DEPUTY CHIEF OF MISSION OF THE EMBASSY OF INDIA VISITS MRSU

As part of the celebrations marking the 95th anniversary of Mordovia State University (MRSU), the university welcomed Nikilesh Giri, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India in the Russian Federation.

During his visit, Mr. Giri took part in the university’s anniversary celebrations, including the central ceremonial event dedicated to MRSU’s 95th anniversary.

As part of the programme, Mr. Giri met with Larisa Aleksandrovna Balykova, Acting Rector of MRSU, at the Rector’s Office. The meeting focused on further developing cooperation between MRSU and Indian educational and business partners.

The participants discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation in education, including the possibility of launching new English-language educational programmes for students fr om India. Particular attention was also paid to opportunities for cooperation in joint B2B projects, the export of goods from the Republic of Mordovia to India, cooperation in the field of optical fibre technologies, and the development of joint cultural projects.

Mr. Giri also visited the MRSU Institute of Medicine, wh ere he met with representatives of the Institute to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation in medical education and research.

The meeting addressed issues related to the recognition and confirmation of diplomas awarded to graduates of MRSU’s General Medicine programme in India, the primary accreditation of medical specialists, the possible need for internship training, and the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).photo_5343602317900586593_y.jpg

The participants also discussed the possibility of conducting career guidance activities for final-year school students in India, as well as developing joint scientific research projects involving students and academic staff of MRSU and higher education institutions in India in the fields of medicine and biology.

DSC_5757 копия.jpgAn important part of the visit was a meeting with Indian students at MRSU. Mr. Giri discussed issues of particular importance to the students, listened to their questions and suggestions, and addressed their concerns regarding their studies and life at the university.

The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen direct contacts between MRSU and Indian partners and to identify new areas for cooperation in education, medicine, science, culture and business.

MRSU continues to develop its international partnerships and create new opportunities for academic, scientific and cultural cooperation with India.
