DISCOVERING RUSSIA: INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TAKE PART IN A KNOWLEDGE QUIZ

On March 6, international students of National Research Mordovia State University named after N. P. Ogarev participated in the intellectual quiz «Discovering Russia», organized by the university dormitory administration.

The event brought together students fr om different countries who tested their knowledge of Russia’s history, geography, culture, and traditions. The participants also answered questions about the university, making the competition both educational and engaging. The quiz created a lively atmosphere of friendly rivalry and helped international students learn more about the country wh ere they study and live.

Teams representing different dormitories competed in several rounds, demonstrating excellent knowledge, teamwork, and enthusiasm.

Winners of the quiz:

1st place — Dormitory № 11, team «Little and Cute Girls»
2nd place — Dormitory № 3, team «Asia Mix»
3rd place — Dormitory № 1, team «Friendship of Nations»

Events like this play an important role in strengthening intercultural communication and helping international students better understand Russian culture and traditions while becoming part of the university community.
