HORIZONS OF OPPORTUNITIES 2026: Additional Development Program for International Students in Russia
The second cohort of the «Horizons of Opportunities» program will take place from July 1 to November 19, 2026, in Moscow. The program is organized by the International Youth Center of RUDN University in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
This program is a unique educational initiative aimed at enhancing humanitarian knowledge and professional competencies of international students studying at Russian universities.
Top-performing participants will be offered internship opportunities, providing strong prospects for future career development.
Program Tracks
1. International Economic School (IES)
This track focuses on:
Fundamentals of business and entrepreneurship in Russia
Marketing and branding in the Russian market
Market and business analysis methodologies
Contemporary international economic relations of Russia
Participants will gain practical skills to develop and implement their own business initiatives.
2. International Humanitarian School (IHS)
This track covers:
Modern international relations
Methods of analyzing global political processes
Evolution of Russia’s foreign policy
Russia’s current initiatives in humanitarian cooperation
Students will develop a deeper understanding of global dynamics and geopolitical perspectives.
3. International School of Humanitarian Cooperation (ISHC)
This track is dedicated to:
Grant project budgeting and planning
Writing support letters
Identifying relevant project topics
Preparing applications for funding
Participants will be equipped to create and secure funding for their own humanitarian projects.
Program Format (2026)
All three tracks will be conducted fully online.
Program Timeline
Application Period: February 1 — May 31, 2026
Online Training: June 26 — August 21, 2026
Regional Stage (Top 150 Participants)
Selected participants will be invited to the regional stage, held from October 5 to November 19, 2026, in the following cities:
Moscow (Oct 5−8) — Central Federal District
Vladivostok (Oct 19−22) — Far Eastern, Siberian & Ural Districts
Saint Petersburg (Nov 2−5) — Northwestern & Volga Districts
Krasnodar (Nov 16−19) — Southern & North Caucasus Districts
Final Stage — Congress of Graduates
The program will conclude with a final Congress (December 2−4, 2026) in Moscow, bringing together:
50 finalists from the regional stage
25 graduates from the previous cohort
Congress Objectives:
Strengthening the alumni community
Encouraging knowledge exchange and collaboration
Supporting professional growth
Integrating outstanding participants into the expert community as speakers and moderators
