INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMEMORATION OF LENINGRAD’S LIBERATION

Today, we honor the memory of the brave individuals who sacrificed their lives during the Great Patriotic War. A commemorative event was held at Victory Square, where flowers were laid at the memorial dedicated to the warriors of Mordovia who fell defending their homeland. This solemn occasion marks the 81st anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade—a turning point in history that demonstrated the courage and resilience of the Soviet people.

For 872 days, the people of Leningrad endured unimaginable hardships, including starvation, extreme cold, and constant bombardment. Their resilience, courage, and unity under such dire circumstances remain an enduring symbol of the human spirit’s strength.

DSC_4405 копия.jpgStudents from our university, including international students, actively participated in the ceremony alongside the university administration. Their presence reflects the shared respect and appreciation for the historical significance of this event, highlighting the unity and solidarity of different cultures in remembering the sacrifices of the past.

The memory of their heroism lives on in our hearts, and their legacy continues to inspire unity, pride, and gratitude. Let us carry this memory forward and honor their contributions by striving for a brighter, peaceful future.
