The Second International Forum of Ministers of Education «Shaping the Future» was held in Kazan, bringing together representatives from educational systems from approximately 40 countries.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Foundation for the Support of the Humanities «My Story». The event was attended by representatives from Asian, African, and Latin American countries, as well as BRICS and CIS member states. This year, Egypt, Iran and the UAE joined the BRICS. More than 20 countries have applied for membership. During the meeting, the participants reached a number of agreements.

MRSU delegation headed by the Rector Mr. Dmitry Glushko participated in the Forum. The delegation included Vice-Rector for International Affairs Denis Filetkin and Olga Safonkina, Assistant V.C. for International Cooperation.

In his speech, Mr. Dmitry Glushko presented the potential of MRSU for cooperation with the BRICS countries. MRSU delegation discussed future cooperation opportunities with Mr. Pavel Shevtsov deputy head of the Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation) and representatives from Egypt, India and China.
