Within the context of developing scientific and educational relations with African partners, a delegation of the MRSU headed by Rector Mr. Dmitri Glushko participated in the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum -2023. The delegation also included: Mr. Denis Filetkin, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Mr. Alexander Davydkin, vice-Rector for Research.

The second Russia-Africa Summit was held at the Expo Forum in St. Petersburg on 27 and 28 July 2023, with delegations fr om 49 African countries (from a total of 54), 17 of which are led by their respective heads of state. The forum’s main topic was Technology and Security in the Name of Sovereign Development for the Benefit of Humankind.

During the event, the university delegation participated in a number of work meetings with the aim of developing the university’s cultural, scientific and educational relations with the African continent.

The delegation met with Mrs. Larissa Kryukova, President of the Russian Cultural Center Kalinka and the Association «Russian Alliance for Culture» in Senegal wh ere areas of cooperation were discussed. A delegation fr om the center will visit our university from 1−2 August.

The university delegation also met with the Egyptian partner, wh ere a cooperation agreement was signed, as it is expected that a new number of Egyptian students will arrive at our university in the next academic year to study in different Faculties and institutes.
