MRSU UNIVERSITY HAS DEVELOPED A NEW METHOD OF LASER THERAPY FOR MALIGNANT TUMORS

A layer of metal-containing nanoparticles is applied to the surface of biological tissue and then exposed to laser radiation.

An additional technique is being developed that allows to eliminate superficial tumors for which removal by ablation is not contraindicated — targeted destruction using laser radiation or high-frequency current. Tumor ablation is a minimally invasive technique that is commonly used in the treatment of tumors of the liver, kidney, bone, and lung. During tumor ablation, thermal energy is used to heat or cool tissue to cytotoxic levels (less than −40°C or more than 60°C).3333.jpg
