On july 25 th, a famous cardiologist, academician and member of the presidium of the russian academy of sciences, general director of the federal state budgetary institution «National Medical Research Center Named after V. A. Almazov», president of the russian society of cardiology Evgeny Shlyakhto arrived in mordovia. In addition to medical institutions, he also visited MRSU university.

The rector of the university, Dmitry Glushko, accompanied Evgeny Shlyakhto in a short tour of the university and showed the city from the observation deck. Vice-Rector for Innovation in Biotechnology and Medicine Larisa Balykova spoke about the ongoing work on the development of a new federal biotech center.

The medical institute team also met Evgeny Shlyakhto and talked about training personnel for the entire republic, the development of medical education and plans for the future.
