SPORTS DAY WITHOUT BORDERS: GAMES OF RUSSIA AND THE WORLD HELD WITHIN «CHARM OF RUSSIA» FESTIVAL

On April 18, an energetic and dynamic Sports Day took place as part of the Regional Festival «Charm of Russia» under the theme «Games of the Peoples of Russia and the World.»

The event was officially opened by Vice-Rector for Youth Policy Alexander Astafyev, who highlighted the importance of developing intercultural interaction and engaging students in an active and healthy lifestyle.

International students of Ogarev Mordovia State University took part in traditional Mordovian games, including «Tyushtyan Nalksemat,» explored new formats of physical activity, and immersed themselves in the atmosphere of traditional folk sports and cultural exchange.

The event was organized with the support of Pavel Migunov and the university’s Sports Sector, whose contribution played a key role in the successful implementation of the program.

The Sports Day became an important platform for strengthening friendship, promoting unity, and fostering intercultural dialogue among students within the framework of the «Charm of Russia» festival.
