Meet Zhu Wenhui, the Chinese language teacher at, who will tell us in this interview about her experience teaching the Chinese language in Mordovia.

«My name is Zhu Wenhui, a Chinese teacher from the China Language Cooperation and Exchange Center. Maybe everyone is unfamiliar with the Language Cooperation and Exchange Center, but when it comes to the Confucius Institute, many people must have heard of it.

Every year, the center selects many outstanding Chinese teachers from China to teach and communicate in Confucius Institutes around the world, or schools that want to learn Chinese. It is a great honor for me to come to the city of Saransk last year and become a Chinese teacher at the National University of Mordovia. I have lived here for ten months.

The teachers and classmates here are very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful, making me feel at home. My students are in the third and first grades. In class, they are serious, good at thinking, and full of interest in Chinese, which makes me passionate about teaching them more knowledge.

Some students come to Chinese classes because they love Chinese culture. Some students learn Chinese in order to find better jobs after graduation. In any case, I applaud them and am happy to be their teacher and spend wonderful learning time with them! During these ten months, I felt the simplicity and friendliness of the people in Saransk, and I was also lucky enough to visit other cities in Russia.

In Kazan, I saw the friendly cooperation between China and Russia to create a better future together; in St. Petersburg, I saw the profound historical and cultural heritage of Russia.

In the future, if I have the chance, I would like to go to more cities in Russia to experience the charm of Russia more deeply! Of course, we also welcome more friends who like Chinese culture to join our Chinese culture club and become good friends! "
