The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation proudly announces the launch of the All-Russian Competition for International Students, «StudRussia,» aimed at supporting talented international students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in science, creativity, sports, public engagement, and volunteerism. The competition is officially organized by the National University of Science and Technology MISIS, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
Purpose and Objectives
The «StudRussia» competition seeks to foster an environment conducive to the professional and creative self-realization of international students, nurturing their leadership qualities and providing a platform to showcase their accomplishments across various domains. The competition is conducted in both Russian and English, ensuring that participants can confidently present their achievements in their preferred language. This bilingual approach maximizes participants' potential, promotes equal opportunities, and underscores the international nature of the initiative.
Competition Categories
Participants are invited to compete in the following categories:
- Future of Science: For students engaged in research and scientific events.

Peak Conquerors: For athletes who have excelled in competitive sports.

Boundless Good: For volunteers contributing to charitable and social projects.

The highest honor, the Grand Prix «Best International Student», will be awarded to participants who demonstrate exceptional performance across multiple categories or distinguish themselves during the in-person stages of the competition.
Eligibility
The competition is open to international students aged 18 to 30 enrolled in Russian higher education institutions, pursuing bachelor’s (starting from the 2nd year), specialist, master’s, postgraduate, or residency programs. Applications must be submitted by September 14, 2025, via the official competition website. Applicants are required to complete an application form, submit a portfolio of achievements, and provide a motivation letter.
Competition Stages
The competition will unfold in three stages:
Selection Stage (August 28 — September 21, 2025): Submission and evaluation of applications.
Regional Stage (by October 30, 2025): In-person forums held across eight federal districts at partner universities.
National Stage (by December 10, 2025): The grand finale and award ceremony at the National University of Science and Technology MISIS in Moscow.
Awards and Opportunities
