12.01.2024

Why is internationalization important for universities? In his interview with the local newspaper «Stolica-S» Mr. Dmitry Glushko, MRSU Rector, addresses MRSU’s initiatives in this area.

«Twenty-two percent of our university students are international students. This is one of the highest indicators for Russian universities.

International students come to study in our university, because there is comfortable atmosphere and a high quality of education. And sometimes in order to become citizens of Russia in the future.

During their studies, they join the economic and social life of our country. Many of them stay to work here, and Russia receives new young professionals.

There are more and more international students at MRSU, and we are launching a new programs for them.

Cooperation with Africa is growing well. The number of students from large African countries, Nigeria & Egypt, is growing. Next up is South Africa: among the BRICS countries it is one of the leaders in the field of science and education."
