MRSU STRENGTHENS INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION WITH NIGERIA

Mordovia State University named after N. P. Ogarev welcomed a delegation from the Federal Republic of Nigeria as part of efforts to develop and strengthen international cooperation in the field of higher education.

The Nigerian delegation included Maaji Shehu Abdullahi, Executive Director of the North-West Commission for Infrastructure Development and Economic Growth; Garbati Abubakar Abdullahi, Director of International Relations at the Russian-Nigerian Advisory Council for Trade and Investment; and Abubakar Suleiman Gumi, Member of Parliament representing the Gummi Federal Constituency.

During the meeting, the participants discussed promising areas of cooperation between the University and Nigerian educational and public institutions. Particular attention was paid to expanding academic and educational opportunities for students and teaching staff.

The parties identified several key areas for further cooperation, including:

  • Student and faculty academic exchange programs;
  • Development of an online course for learning the Russian language;
  • Joint efforts to attract prospective students from Nigeria to study at the University.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening direct contacts and developing new forms of interaction in education and academic mobility.

Mordovia State University continues to expand its international partnerships and develop new opportunities for cooperation with educational institutions and organizations from different countries, contributing to the internationalization of higher education and creating new prospects for students and academics.
