MRSU UNIVERSITY CONTINUES TO EXPAND COOPERATION WITH THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

The 8th Russia-China EXPO took place in Harbin on May 17−21, 2024. Held since 2014 as an annual exhibition, its venue alternates between the two countries. The EXPO emerged as a major trade and manufacturing platform focusing on expanding and diversifying Russia-China partnerships.This year, the 4th Russia-China Forum on Interregional Cooperation took place as part of the EXPO with 28 constituent entities of the Russian Federation taking part in it.

Within the framework of the major interstate program «One Belt — One Way» for the development of scientific, technical and economic cooperation between countries MRSU delegation was invited to the People’s Republic of China.

2.jpgAt the plenary session, MRSU Rector Mr. Dimitry Gloshko presented a strategy for the development of training specialists for the pharmaceutical industry at MRSU. He emphasized the importance of the unique unity of cooperation between the university, the leadership of the Republic of Mordovia and the industrial partner «Promomed» Group.

«We work with 20 pharmaceutical partners from Russia and foreign countries. MRSU has a modern scientific base, which allows us to carry out current scientific research of both fundamental and applied nature. We have strong research schools. We provide all levels of higher medical education, 5 specialty programs, including „General Medicine“ in English, 39 residency programs, 16 postgraduate programs, as well as additional education for doctors and pre-university training (university lyceum).» MRSU Rector commented.

The structure of the «Pharmacy» and «Chemical Technologies of Pharmaceutical Production» programs at MRSU includes a wide range of departments to provide practice-oriented training: licensed microbiological, histological, microscopic laboratories, basic departments, 26 clinical institutions, 3 pharmaceutical production facilities providing practical training. For our foreign students, MRSU conclude agreements on internships with pharmaceutical manufacturers in their countries.

3.jpgThe delegation held a working meeting in the School of Foreign Languages and Literature of Nanjing Tech University. The School of Foreign Languages and Literature of Nanjing Tech University was formerly the English major of Nanjing Institute of Chemical Technology established in 1988. In March 2002, the former School of Foreign Languages and International Communication of Nanjing Tech University and the former Foreign Language Teaching and Research Office of Nanjing Institute of Architecture and Engineering integrated and became the new School of Foreign Languages. This center prepares Chinese schoolchildren for admission to Russian universities. As a result, it was agreed to prepare an agreement on joint teaching of the Russian language to those planning to enroll in Russian universities.
