Оn March 22, Mordovian State University was visited for the first time by the Olympic Tajikistani champion in hammer throw Dilshod Nazarov, and Irina Privalova, the Russian Olympic champion in athletics.

Dilshod Nazarov is a Tajik track and field athlete who specializes in the hammer throw, He has represented his country at the Olympic Games on four occasions (in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016), winning the first gold medal for Tajikistan in the history of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Irina Privalova is a Russian Olympic gold medallist athlete (Sydney — 2000), the current owner of seven Russian records at various distances.

Along with the president of the Regional Public Organization «Athletics Federation of the Republic of Mordovia» Mr. Mikhail Khramov (he is also an honored worker of physical culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Mordovia, the director of the complex sports school of the Olympic reserve, a master of sports of the USSR in athletics), the Rector of MRSU Mr. Dmitry Glushko and vice-rector for youth policy Mr. Alexander Romanov, the meeting was also attended by Mr. Marat Bariev who is an honored worker of physical culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Chairman of the Association of the Olympic Councils of the Volga Federal District.

During the conference, the students were given the opportunity to ask all their questions. they inquired about how to train in a good — correct way and how to deal with difficulties on the way to high level of a sports career.

On March 23, Dilshod Nazarov met the Head of the Republic of Mordovia Artem Zdunov, where they discussed the development of student and mass sports in the university and the region. In the evening, Dilshod Nazarov held a masterclass for students at the Olympic Training Center.
